One of CERN’s major ongoing focuses is the upgrade to the High-Luminosity Large Hadron Collider (HL-LHC). The project aims to improve the capabilities of the original Large Hadron Collider by increasing its luminosity by a factor of up to 10 beyond the LHC’s design value.
