First series RFD crab cavity on the road to cryomodule assembly
The first dressed series RF dipole crab cavity, RFD02, has been successfully delivered to TRIUMF, Canada, from JLAB, USA. This begins the cavity’s journey towards cryostating, when it will be integrated – along with the second dressed series cavity expected to arrive still in the first half of 2026 – into the first series cryomodule.

Half of the US-AUP magnet production at CERN
At the end of October we received two more magnets from Fermilab (CA03 and CA05). With these deliveries, half of the units from the US are at CERN! They join the other three magnets already received: CA01 and CA02 for the IT String, and CA04.

Third magnet from the USA delivered!
After a long journey from Fermilab in Batavia, Illinois, the third cryo-assembly (named LQXFA04) from the United States Accelerator Upgrade Program (US-AUP) has been successfully delivered to CERN.

US-AUP MQXFA magnet production already halfway to target
On March 2024, US magnet MQXFA15 cold test was successfully completed at the BNL Vertical Magnet Test facility. This magnet is the 10th MQXFA magnet meeting HL-LHC requirements.
