After difficult years of pandemics, the Superconducting Magnet Test Facility Workshop (SMTF), started in 2016, resumed in April 2023. In this new edition, a joint event was proposed with the Instrumentation and Diagnostics for Superconducting Magnets Workshop (IDSM), launched in 2019. Both workshops were hosted by INFN and University of Salerno, and took place in Paestum, Italy.

On this occasion, we decided to enlarge our activity with an online training course comprising a series of 20 lectures on Superconducting Magnet test stands, Magnet protections and Diagnostics given by lecturers from laboratories around the world (BNL, CEA, CERN, EPFL, FNAL, HNINP, LBNL, Tampere), including members of the HL-LHC Project.
