The 8th issue of the annual HL-LHC Collaboration Board Newsletter is now available!
This issue offers an update on the project, LHC operational status, and the Long Shutdown 3 schedule and readiness review, plus an overview of the collaboration status for this year and the planning of the Annual Meeting and Cost & Schedule Review.
You’ll find a vast range of updates from across the project with particular focus on the achievements by our international collaborators, including the series production of cold powering equipment, RFD and DQW cavities, and quench heater discharge power supplies, as well as the progress of HL-LHC magnets, SM18 test benches and plan, the IT String, and promising outcomes from prototype beam instruments. And finally, it offers a focus piece on the challenges of magnet sorting for the HL-LHC.
These articles are a real celebration of the collaborations of the project, scratching the surface of the huge number of people and technologies coming together for the HL-LHC.
We hope you enjoy reading and thank all collaborators and members of the HiLumi community who have contributed to our progress this year, and to writing this issue!
